Fianlly getting some snow so stuck inside and thought I would share some pics of my Plumed helmets, mixture of OR and Officer.

I know some collectors do not like plumed helmets and would prefer the spike, but I like this fancy look, and in most cases with these I also have the spike to change out if needed.

Would love to see others from forum members.......

All the best

James

Don't you give me any more crap about the breastplate. [-( Where did that Bavarian artillery officer come from? Did you talk George out of it?

Reservist1 great stuff, thanks for letting us look!

Joe. Alas, I am still waiting for George to sell me his, this one came from another source.

great parade plumes and helmets! I have a question about horsehair plumes. The horsehair on my Bavarian Artillery helmet plume is very brittle and i'm wondering how, if possible, I can soften the aged horsehair so it will not break off everytime it is touched, would some sort of commercial hair conditioner work??? Anybody else have this problem?? Dick

Very nice helmets guys; thanks for sharing.
I particularly like James' Baden Leib helmet. I remember seeing it on the AOK site sometime ago. Very nice!

I've been looking for a parade plume for my silver M97 Chevaulegers Off. haube for a while myself...

Great helmets and thanks for sharing. Hopefully, I will own one myself one day :D

Regards,

Edwin

A great thread with fantastic helmets! I hope you like my contribution also...

PS Sorry for the older pics here and there... I'll have to make some new ones when there's some more time...
