"Poilus" found in Lorraine

The remains of 5 French soldiers have been discovered in a wood close to Luneville. The estimated date of their death is Sept. 5th, 1914. They were found with their full equipments, including rifles and ammunitions. One of them has already been identified.

Every year soldiers of the different belligerent countries are found and are given a final proper resting place.
