Studio portrait of an unnamed Provisional Reichswehr officer (Rittmeister) of the Kavallerie-Regiment Nr.9 in walking-out uniform, photographed around 1919 to 1920 in Parchim. His old unit was most likely to be the 2. Großherzoglich Mecklenburgisches Dragoner-Regiment Nr. 18.

Thanks Charles! I believe the state cockades were discontinued in 1934. National eagle introduced in February 1934 replaced the state cockades.
