Look at this two helmets!
I think the Mannschafts one (BA XXI) (!!!) could be a fake.
The second one (I think Fähnrich) may be a good one?

This is a really good question. Actually, at first glance both of them look pretty good but then I came upon the same thing that you did BA XXI and that leads to a whole new set of problems. We do not have an example from this Army Corps and they did not have a BA. however, what I do not know is what the RBA marking looked like. Could it just be a B.A.?? Is it a fake Mark?? Is the helmet new??
 
For my part, I have some problems with the Reichskokarde (definitely wrong) and with the base plate at the inside of the Haube, especially the studs. They are too thin, I think, and look like the studs which normally fix the front trim to the front visor, at both sides.
However the eagle and the ball are looking pretty good... Parts helmet??
BAXXI and FAR 8 are matching well....(Both in Saarbrücken). Hmmmm...
Maybe this helmet is looking too new and too clean to be original.

Both have a strange shape, do not look like normal pickelhaube shape, too low ? some spare parts look original but pictures are not excellent and hard to say ! Surprised to see 2 rare canvas/cork sample poping up almost at the same time, but I'm maybe too suspicious ! on the enlisted man helmet : I don't like either the round base and its pins, also the stamping of the size 57 in the round base is absolutely not period, I would say fake :o but more pics could help !
I don't like the officer either, too new, no mark of wear, sweat, strange association between steel chin scales and brass rondelles, liner seems to be original but too small for the shell, sewing on the shell is irregular, I would not bid on the item before getting better additionnal pictures showing the back of the plate, the helmet without plate, and some close ups, liner, round base inside etc, the helmet is maybe original but pictures do not help enough, if you buy it, please let us know since if original that's a scarce one !
