Gents, here are better cloesups of my Prussian Beamte M1897 Haube.
What does it mean when some scales--I counted 2--and both rosettes aren't gilted like the rest of the chinscales? :-k

I would say either the gilding has worn off for some reason, or they're replacements. IMHO you helmet looks nice, so I wouldn't worry 'bout them too much.

Actually, after taking a closer look at my helmet--it was my 2nd pickelhaube back when I didn't know much about these/hadn't joined the Forum yet--it seems to have the slightly larger Cavalry/Kürassier style Eagle doesn't it:?:
The wider bandeau almost touches the edges of both wings and the longer wings are closer together above the crown...
Being of the typical Prussian Beamte officer helmet of the Dragoon style with a silver trim, round chinscales, a square visor and a crossed spike base, I guess they also used the Kürassier-style eagle?

Something that could go against my reasoning however is the fact there's an extra set of holes behind my eagle...
Here's an excerpt from the (trustworthy) seller (Age of Kings):
"Large silver frosted Prussian line eagle with banner and small 'Beamte eagle' on tail.
Tall non-removeable spike on officer pearl/diamond on crossed spike base. (...)
Silk headliner is an unusual style.
Removal of plate indicates that the helmet has an extra set of holes in the leather body.
The holes look to be 'pre-punched' by the manufacturer and have not been used.
" :-k

Does anyone have a similar M1897 Beamte to compare?
Here's a comparison shot & more closeups:
