These would all have been very familiar to the Prussian cavalryman on the battlefields of 1870-71.

From top to bottom Blucher Sabel. Dated 1831 and marked originally to the 5th Uhlan Regt and later the 5th Landwehr Uhlan regiment (same squadron and weapon number). It had been replaced in active units by the M1852 cavalry saber but may have still been carried by Landwehr units. Sporting the white faustriemen of the cavalry, 1st squadron.

M1852 Cavalry saber dated 1866 and marked to the 15th Uhlan Regiment, 3rd squadron, Sporting the yellow faustriemen of the cavalry 3rd squadron.

M1857 Cavalry Carbine dated 1868. The cavalry version of the Dreyse needle rifle. This one was manufactured at the Dreyse Soemmerda plant. These were issued to the Hussar and Dragoon Regiments

M1850 KavalleriePistol. Dated 1850 and marked to the 6th Uhlan Regiement. These were issued to the Uhlan and Kurassier Regiments
