Hi,

Here's my haube collection. Its not much, but I'm very proud of it. The ersatz spike is my best. Its absolutely gorgeous and in super good condition. I got it from a really good guy and at a fair price. I'll post more pix.

Enjoy!

The liner is in beautiful condition. The top of the interior has a black wool or felt liner. The camera flash revealed the soldier's name on the visor.

Nice selection! :thumbright: Nice to see one that appears to be all intact and in nice condition. You are well on your way to having a very nice collection of Haubes.

Hi Christopher:

Congratulations on a very, very nice collection. I would like to request a side view or your Ersatz Pickelhaube. It appears the Knopf 91 are reinforced at the sides, a variation I haven't seen before. Also, the liner of the Ersatz "Stahlblech" helmet is usually secured by a split rivet located at the back of the helmet. Your example seems to have a different method.

I think you have something very unique there. Super!

Chas.

Hi,

Thanks for your compliments.

I couldn't find a letter "G" or any other markings, other than his name and "BA III" stamped on the liner.

Hi,

Here's my newest spike addition. The fittings are all silvered which makes it look really cool. The interior has the soldier's name and a red stamp "5 K" (5th Kompanie?).

I hope you enjoy the photos.

There are two size stamps: an older one "53" and then "55" stamped over it. There's also two extra holes which have been plugged. Looks like a professional job and done long ago, but I would appreciate any thoughts.

Thank you,

Lurch
