Gents, how come no one has posted this one yet?

Apart from its high starting price and what seems to be a moth-infected liner, does it look sound to you?

The wappen is a bit different in its feather details than others I've seen but this could be maker-specific I guess.

The spike seems to be the correct wartime twist-off model but shouldn't it also be screw-off towards its middle to allow for the mounting of a parade trichter? (the seller says it isn't)

As for liner, isn't it too thick on its borders?

And what about those chinscales? How come they're not properly centered on the cockades over the side posts?

Hey Tony, how can one tell FIBER from LEATHER on such helmets with the lacker and all?
Do you think it would qualify as a good helmet--you've got the nicest one I've ever seen thus far--despite the moth-infested liner?

Ron, the fiber looks shiny black. Sorry I can't answer your questions about this helmet... didn't win it.

:D Ron
