I don't see what's so 'fantastic' about the condition of this one... Besides, where's the spine ventilation tab? [-(

Looks pretty nice to me, not perfect, but certainly very good+ overall. I don't know about the spine... have to go on Tony's site. :) I think you're suspecting it's a parts helmet? .... maybe!.... :/

I looked on Tony's site and the model 1891 isn't vented on the spine, so some of these may have been re-used on later helmets (?). Anyway, the only part that looks like it doesn't really fit on this to me is the chin strap, as it looks too new and perhaps post WWI, but then one wouldn't know without really looking at it.
