Prussian Wappen Question

Anyone know of any helmets that have a Prussian wappen that has a plate mounted to the wappen using holes arranged like this? Or has the wappen just been messed with? Thanks for anyone's expertise!

Not claiming any 'expertise' but I am not seeing the same degree of detail in this piece that I see in my own Prussian wappen examples.

I think Seagull is right.
Not much detail seen in the picture of the plate.
Not sure what the holes are for.
Possibly this repo was used as a decoration or plaque at some time a

That may be so, but I also do not like the lack of detail in this wappen.
Also, the M15 rivets used on the spikebase are not correct on it.
I would personally leave this helmet alone.
