I just picked up a wonderful photo album, that I will try and share some of the unique shots.

This one caught my eye right away and only highlights some of the conditions these soldiers lived in.

I can not tell for sure, but did the tie their tails to the string, or the string to the tails?

Some of those rats are humongous - you'd probably need a Gew 98 to stop them. Look forward to seeing the others in the album.

This is great, I had no idea, the troops got so excited about these photo's, they are all happy as can be and proud of their catch.

Many accounts in vets books written post war of of hunting rats as a way of both striking back at the vermin and relieving the boredom of trench life. I have never seen pics like these though.....very cool!
