Friends do you think this Bavarian helmet is a sample of 1832 or maybe Schwarzburg-Rudolstadt? :-k

I want to restore this helmet

First, be it known that I speak from limited experience as Raupenhelms are a study in and of themselves. That being said, I believe that you have a Bavarian Model 1832, just like the photo you posted from "Militaria Online". I have only seen photos of a Schwarzburg-Rudolstadt Raupenhelm and it did not appear to be configured for chains. Yours has holes for the chain fittings. I have a Model 1845 and it was configured with lion heads holding the chinscales. Yours appears to have the round rosette configuration which is indicative of a model 1832. The Kokarde looks blue-white and not blue-white-blue, also indicative of Bavaria. Just my opinion.
That is a beautiful find. Congratulations. :bravo:
It will likely take some time finding the parts you need.
