Here one more pict I´ve asked the seller. (He does not want to take the wappen away to make a pict of its backside..Hmmm

In my opinion the wappen is not original to the helmet and the large black patches are probably hiding double holes. The helmet body itself looks original, but I do not think that the hardware is OK (just look at the nut of the spike base).

Yes, that´s what I have heard from other collectors on this forum. The wappen is not for a helmet of the Von Derfflinger Regiment. The staff on the wappen should wear the small eagle at its top.
I think too, this helmet is a parts helmet, maybe original parts but assembled..
