Gents,
An interesting find at the Oakey Museum of Army Flying (Oakey Army Airfield, southeast Queensland). There is a framed section of wing fabric (a very faded but complete Maltese Cross on red fabric), maybe 3' x 3' cut from the Baron's aircraft by Australian soldiers and brought home as a souvenir. The fabric section has a lengthy description of the circumstances of the capture but is very difficult to read. Unfortunately I did not have my camera with me at the time, but next time I go there I will post a photo.
The Brisbane Museum also houses the only surviving A7V - Mephisto. A couple of rare and unusual Imperial German pieces in southeast Queensland.
