Hey Guys ,

When was the last time you went to bed crying because you do not have a top for your m-15 Uhlan helmet.

You know the metal ones that are removable.

Well... probably never , but if you did I have an idea.

I believe that I can vacumeform the tops out of black plastic .

They would be cheap ( $50 or so ) and made the exact size.

I can also offer them weathered ( $20 more) so that they will look realistic.

You can put them on your helmet and display your helmet the way if should be.

Until you find an original . That will probably never happen.

Any interest ?

I have gotten my plastic in and have experimented with it.

It works perfectly . !! But it is a little flimsy like I thought it would be .

There are several ways that I can beef it up .

Of course the more I do with it the more the price raises.

The cheapest will be a single skin , 2 parts flat top and cone/funnel and you punch out the holes. Kit -- $25 + shipping

Double layer I pull 2 and glue one inside the other doubling the thickness. Kit --------------------------$40 + shipping

Double layer of skin with extra stiffening gussets painted and weathered to like the real thing. Finished --$ 80 + shipping.

Pictures would help .

I am working on that

BTW photobucket must die.

I am in no need for a mortar board, but still curious to see your pics.
Here is a Wurt I made a few years ago (posted here before!)
