reserve infantry regiments and line wappen

We recently had a thread about a Thuringia wappen and a mark to a reserve infantry Regiment.

Well, courtesy of Bruno, we have yet another.

The Uberzug (R74 in green numbers) is marked inside JR74 and RJR742B, and with the soldier's name (Heine) The helmet has the Oldenburg emblem but a prussian cockade. The back flap is marked on the left JR74 1903 and Unteroffizier Heine. On the right:RJR742B.
Of course no double holes or re-soldered plate hooks. This is absolutely 100% original. Owing to the history of the helmet, found in a French family where it stayed since the war, it is virtually impossible that it was messed with.
Larcade states that the OJR91 reserve was in RJR74, but in 1st battalion...

This makes perfect sense to me. Once a line helmet for JR 91. It was handed down to RJR 74. As Larcade pointed out the first battalion in this regiment was based in Oldenburg. The second Battalion, and the regimental staff soldiers, came from the city further south in Hanover, called Neinburg. The third battalion was from Hanover. The regiment received this helmet and passed it on. The reference to first Battalion, is classic to Larcade. He ties the geography to the helmet and not the organization to the helmet. It is pretty clear that it did not work this way. In my opinion, this helmet could have been given to any of three reserve regiments:
• Reserve-Infanterie-Regiment Nr. 78 – Braunschweig
• Reserve-Infanterie-Regiment Nr. 74 - Oldenburg, Nienburg an der Weser
• Reserve-Infanterie-Regiment Nr. 79 - Oldenburg, Aurich
He is correct, but not complete.

So now you have some of my thoughts do you have any?

And, sometimes, it could be possible to find an eagle, beetween "Perthes les Hurles" and "Le bois Sabot", where 1rst Bat of RJR 74 was "in Stellung".
