The Wappen has a small "O" on the reverse, which is, I believe, the only Saxon manufacturer mark?

What is your opinion?

Wappen looks good to me. have seen JR 100 helmets with the 100R mark before. Very Saxon. Cannot see the corps mark.

Hi Joe

Thank you.

If BA XII is really marked, it should be good according to the Regt number.
Nevertheless the marks seem very clear und almost unreadable.

What is your opinion about the other garnaments?

The entire thing looks ok to me. There might be a crack in the front visor trim -- cannot really bsee. Spike looks nice, cockades good. I think should be ok. Now the price is steep and I am not sure why no one is bidding maybe I missed something.

Thank you, Joe, for your opinion.

This 100 IR M1895 is not very common. And indeed nobody is bidding (at this time). Price is not very cheap, indeed. Militaria online is selling one NCO type for 1100e
http://www.militaria-online.de/cgi-bin/showart.pl?art=401
and Weitze one Res 100 IR M 1895 for 1700e (with a wonderful back marking 100R BAXII)

Let's see.

My opinion is: this helmet is good, but, like often in this case, I prefer asking for advices from couterparts!

Best regards

Hi Joe,

I noticed that there is a difference in spikes' neck between the french ebay's and militaria online's.

Theone on ebay is a 1895 haube, whereas the one on militaria is a 1897, yet the 1897 has an old style pearling on its spike neck, the ebay one has no pearling.

Which of these 2 is incorrect then?

Cheers,
Bambang
