Saxon Infantry Captain Johannes Pflugbeil wearing Saxony's highest award for valor. In late 1918 from a medics litter, the badly wounded Pflugbeil lead a counter attack against attacking British troops. Note he weasr the Wound Badge in Silver. In WWII he won the Knights Cross as the commander of the Courland Division. Autographed and dtaed on back. I sold his St Heinrich cross and his Knights Cross (with VL award document) and Courland Cuff title in 1987!
