Hello,

My apologies to everyone for my not being active on here for quite a while.

Here's a helmet I acquired recently.

Nicely marked to the 107th Reg't, 3rd Battalion, with "B. A. XIX 12" depot issue stamp, and 1912 maker marked.

There's a penciled name on the underside of the rear visor. I can't tell if it reads "Schamberg" or Schamberger". It's hard to photo the name without getting glare on it.

Nice helmet. When I first saw the photos I thought to myself: "Those cockades are gigantic". Then I noticed that the helmet was a size 53.

At this time, the JR107 (24 RD) wad in Flandern and Artois.

But the Red cross mentions him as missing much earlier, at Vitry le Francois, beginning of September 1914:
