Saxon Fusilier Regt. 108 NCO Shako

From what Tony supplied to the post , I would assume that the answer to your question is Yes .
Maybe Tony will fill us in .
I do NOT question what he has added , I might only ask him to tell all of us his reference .
It might come from a book that we have but do not retain the info as well as Tony does .
I would pose another question ; does that info about the horn on the front plate
also apply to Jager Batl. 12 & J B 13 ?
I sold all of my non -Prussian helmet circa 1992 , so now I am going back to try and get some
examples of the helmets I sold . Here is my former Saxon Jagers pre 1992 .
Note the Fusilier Regt. 108 reserve officer has NO horn on the front plate !

I can confirm what Tony wrote regarding the addition of the horn from the end of 1909 (AKO of 09/31/1909). One reference is JL Larcade, tome 1: Troupes a Pied. p 132. From what he writes, this applied to all Jaeger units.
Tony may have another reference.

Well, any decent reference actually will cover the addition of the horn as a second overlay for SB108 and the Sachsen Jäger Btlns. in 1909. I cover the change in my Wappen sizes article.
