A relatively recent purchase which I have never had the time to tale pictures of until now.

Not a very rare helmet but it is in very good condition, untouched and.... look at that endless detachable spike !

A correct Saxon officer's Pickelhaube visor is not round, not square. It's like a bit of both. Quite unique to Saxon officers.

Yes, this one is similar, a true original Saxon.

The one posted on ebay has the inside skull painted black.

Wonder if that helmet made it to the fire station or done post war.

Interesting point. I thought that it was vulkanfiber...

Looking at the picture of the interior more closely, I can see several empty holes where the nuts holding the spike base are. Something has happened there
