Saxon Jaeger/Schutzen

Guys, my Royal Saxon Jaeger straps. Of particular interest is the very scarce cypher strap worn of Crown Prince Albert worn by JB12. The cypher was worn a very short time, May 1870-November 1873. The cypher was removed when Albert was crowned king upon the death of his father.

Also, note the metal 13, as per regulations, used on the RJB13 strap.

The un-piped JB15 strap was worn on the Litewka. JB15 was raised in 1887 and deactivated in 1900. They were used as a nucleus for IR181.

SR108 underlay color changed from green to black with the 1915 regulations.

Thanks for looking,

Great collection Mike,

Thank you very much for showing, I really enjoy that.

I collect shoulder straps too, but my collection (I hardly dare to use the word) is minuscule compared to yours

Regards,

Lars

Excellent post Mike keep them coming. As you know, I also have a small collection of straps due to a “strap infection “ I picked up in The Kaiser’s Bunker. 😊 No Jaeger as yet though.

I appreciate the kind comments.
