Two examples of the “pfirsichrot” or peach red facing color unique to Bavarian Chevaulegers-Regts 3 and 6.
EM cap c.1910 of the left for Königlich Bayerisches 6. Chevaulegers-Regt. Prinz Albrecht von Preußen (with a maker’s mark from the garrison town of Bayreuth), and a much older c.1880 officer/NCO cap on the right for Königlich Bayerisches 3. Chevaulegers-Regt. Herzog Karl Theodor. This one has a glorious Munich maker’s mark that incorporates the name of the regiment. This steel-green and peach red is one of my favorite color schemes from the old army.
The image is a studio portrait of an EM of ChR 6 wearing a cap like the one on the left.
