Schutztruppe helmet review request.

It is nice looking other than the stains.
Although the threads on the wappen's posts look to be very fine.
Should they be coarse threads like on the standard wappens ?
 
The handband is attached to the helmet via a system similar to the British-designed Vero's Detactable Helmet Liner, which was patented n the 1920s. I've never seen a single helmet from any country that had this type of system to hold the headband in use prior to the 1920s at the earliest.

I believe all pre-1918 helmets would have cork spaces or buckram spacers (looks like a "zigzag" around the headband. I believe the helmet is a post-1960s replica dressed up unfortunately.
