F@#king amazing picture!!! Love it!!

That's because you know they are all real.

I dunno Tony, I think I see a repro ammo pouch there.... I love the sign! I take it this was in 1914 or so? I wonder if the die Kleine "Lustige Stube" was still 'Lustig' when it reached Russia.... :-k I always look at these photos and wonder how many made it back. (and where their headgear is! :) )

:D Ron

Probably still on their heads somewhere 'deep down' in Russia... :D

Very nice picture again Bruno; was is mailed on the back (which would make it even nicer in my eyes)?

It could be just my eyes or the lighting in the picture but it seems that some of the TK's are a little different. Some seem that they have voided bones and some not.

I see what you mean. Could also be the photographer's touch-ups which was common then...
We need to hop into Ron's time machine to go back there and strip a couple of these guys off their gear (all the way to the socks as I'm pretty sure even these would sell on Weitze for lots of Euros). In return we could give them a couple of digital cameras so that they could leave good high res. (& colored) pictures for us thus solving many mysteries. \:D/

These photos are such fun! For example, the expressions on the faces of the men, some look excited, others not so; the way they blocked off the windows with flags and such, the construction of the bunks, etc. Just very cool indeed!

:D Ron

Nice picture and thanks for sharing. Indeed, the expression on their faces certainly tells a lot and when seeing these period pictures I also wonder what happened to these chaps.

Best regards,

Edwin
