Seasonal changes

The same village in France watching successively:
1- French infantry
2- French cavalry
3- German Jaeger
The latter seem to be well settled. Signs on the houses are now in german.
You can roughly guess the dates...

There's obviously a stand-out vantage point for photographers at that location, a balcony or room overlooking the square perhaps.

The foliage on the tree, or rather lack of it in the last two pictures gives us some idea of the month the photos were taken.

Thanks for posting these. I enjoy those 'now and then' type pictures.
