Offered for sale is an unusual Black Felt Ersatz Pickelhaube with Riveted Black Fiber Visors.
This is the only example of this helmet that I have ever seen. I found a photograph of this type of helmet being worn, and I posted it on the original discussion thread about this helmet, found here:
www.pickelhaubes.com
It appears that the felt helmet body may have gotten wet at some point of time in its past history. The leather liner shows evidence of moisture exposure as well.
I have never gotten around to trying to have this helmet body steamed back into shape. It's time for me to pass this helmet on to someone else who will complete the task.
Price: $1,650.00 or "Best Offer" plus Postage.
Payment via PayPal is ok. I prefer "friends and family".
USA Postage: $20 via Priority US Mail with Tracking.
European Postage (Belgium, France, Germany, Netherlands, Poland, UK, etc.): $70 via 1st Class International Mail Parcel with Tracking.
Australia, New Zealand and Singapore Postage: $80 vis 1st Class International Mail with Tracking.
Thanks,
Alan

Here's a sleeper ersatz helmet I bought today that will need a little TLC to steam the felt body back into shape. Photos are from the seller. The front & back visors are either cardboard or fiber material with the riveted attachment to the felt helmet body, similar to the Depaheg Patent...
