Sortir le casque a pointe

Being in Paris today I was browsing through French newspapers online and I was surprised to find this. It is an article on funny, picturesque words, sentences, expressions used by French rugby players. Even though I have long been a rugby fan (and player as a kid), I ignored that "sortir le casque a pointe" ("get the spiked helmet out" or, more likely "wear the spike helmet") means to get involved into particularly harsh, even brutal physical action during a game!..

That is very cool Bruno and of course makes perfect sense to us History buffs.....ahhh Paris in the Spring!

Hey Bruno, if you're a fan of steak tartare and haven't been to Le Verre Bouteille, this bistrot in the 17ième arrondissement has the best in all of France IMHO, not to mention their lovely selection of local wines. It is coupé au couteau in larger chunks than the usual and tastes like no other!
