A candidate for the Evaporust treatment. I was tempted by this helme because it did have a good liner and original chin strap.
This helme had extra holes behind the wappen and convex chin scales on a Garde infantry helme??

This looked like the typical Prussian officer helme But not so much on the inside:

One for Joe, some excellent markings. These were on a typical Prussian M15 helmet, price was $750 but kokarden and chin strap were original.
Markings: 3.TR 1918 JR 71 BJA XIV ga
Translation: 3rd Train Battallion 1918 (punched in not stamped), Infantry Regt 71 14th Army Korps......BUT WHAT does "ga" represent??? Help us out here Joe !!
I have this one posted in the Pickelhaube section. Look there I think you will find that your regiment is wrong but that there are all sorts of anomalies here. :thumb up:
