This seller has earned a reputation worse than Uhlan9. Tony's treatment on his web site is as good as can be. This specific helmet is not a good example. It appears to be some sort of one piece steel shell that looks like it has been "flattened." The paint on the brass parts looks new and to be hiding some things. I am not sure the wappen is original. The only common mark I know of in black painted helmets is the red Bing marks in SOME Bavarians.

On the olive color steels there is often a single letter "G" on the back visor. I do not know what it stands for.

thanks for that guys, i thought it looked a little odd, i can see the paints pretty thick on all the fittings, i makes you wonder why it wasnt left brass, ill save my money & look for something else, i am now bitten by the bug :-?
