Strange marks on Pickelhaube

Is it just me, or do these regimental / Armeekorps markings look strange (fake)? The font, the box around the regimental marks and the whole B.A. mark too.

Not the first time I've seen this type of marks. Am I stuck in the 1890's, and are these normal marks for the 1910's? I have two Pickelhaubes from 1896, and a few from 1915/16, and none of the marks look like this.

As far as I can tell from the distant pictures, these markings are legit.
Why would one bother to put fake markings from a not so special regiment on a basic M95 Prussian helmet?? This would not add much to the value...
 
Looks llike a nice helmet to me. I'd suspect the chinstrap is new, perhaps cockades as well (??), but still looks like a good helmet. I didn't read the description, if the seller mentioned any of that.
