First, thanks to all who helped me with the helmets that my sister gave me. Now, here’s another question: can anyone tell me about this helmet? Pre- ww1?NOC? I have had it for a for few years and love it !
Lack of the two cockades and repro chinstrap.
But....The spike seems to be screwable for the parade Busch. So there were only 4 line infantry regiments that were allowed to wear it:
- FR86
- KIR 145
- FR80
- JR 25
Please insert some more picts of the stamps on neckguard. The left stamp seem to be the companie number (3K) and the right that Ia can´t decypher ist maybe the regiment stamp.
In addition to Philippe I’d like to say that the helmet is a model M95, which means that it was introduced in 1895 and it is a helmet for enlisted men. The eagle plate was to be held to the helmet by leather wedges.
