The copies are getting closer and closer to the originals, although this one is still "off" in several important ways.
 
Ai ai yet not that close if you ask me , stil a huge way to go to come close to an original one 😢😢

I have never seen a Wurttemberg M G shako .
Was there such a thing ?
I have seen of course Prussian ones
and even Saxon

Steve, you are absolutely right. MG Abteilungen existed for Prussia (Line and Guard), Saxony and Bavaria. This is it. No such thing in Wurtemberg!

was their helmet like the Prussian ? A shako with brown leather and greenish body ?

I think you have seen the private helmet collection in Belgium ?
He has the finest selection of M G shakos that I have ever seen
I do not remember a Bavarian one ?
Do you have a photo of one ?
