Here are the flags of I R 83 .The 4 flags in the middle are I R 83 .These were the Prussian Line Infantry muster
pattern in red .The 2 flags on the left and right are the 2 Batls of Landwehr regt. 83 .After WWI the flags
were in Kassel .Some of the soldiers appear to have color shields on the side of their helmets .Maybe black and
white for Prussian colors ? Years ago I had a WWI steel helmet with a 2 color Bavarian shield of blue
and white on it
If any steel helmet collectors have WWI helmets with color shields in their collection , please
post photos of them
