In the 1980's a collector friend went to H DThank you for posting this video. It is well done.
Please check 1st Grd helmet at 2:40. Spike base has extra holes which does not make any sense. I do not think Kaiser would have worn helmet with extra holes on spike base!
I think real one is sitting on someone’s collection…….
He made me an extra set of photos

I never figured out why some of KW II 's collars were removed from his Waffenrocks ?
Or perhaps never applied?

I sure hope so, cutting up the Kaisers Waffenrocks would have to be considered a warcrime.

I recall visiting Huis Doorn in 1992 when I was working in Amsterdam.
It was a very memorable visit. I particularly remember being impressed with the display cabinet filled with Prussian Standard Bearer gorgets. There must have been one from every Prussian Regiment. At that time they had all the Kaiser's uniforms in a walk-in closet although some of his headgear was on display.
The mausoleum containing the Kaisers' remains draped with the flags of various regiments also made a great impression. I'm very glad I made the effort to rent a car to make the trip to Doorn, although my colleagues reactions were along the lines of "you're doing what?"
