9 911car Well-known member Nov 11, 2006 #1 The oldest French WW1 veteran passed away. His name was Maurice Floquet and he was 111 (born in 1894). He was also the oldest male Franch. He was enrolled in September 1914 and was severely wounded several times. Only 4 are still alive today. Bruno
