Then, I opened the auction. Just too many cracks and such for me. I at first thought it was a galvano (sp?) plate, but looks to be repaired? I dunno.

Th Hessian Dragoons. Good solid body, rounded Hessian dragoon visor, and silver-colored fittings (warm light in the room the pictures were taken – the fittings are more clearly silver than they appear).

Extra holes in the front of the leather body .
Does some of the trim look like brass ??

He says it's the lighting, which seems plausible. I just thought all of the cracks in the brass and holes in the plate were odd. No returns either.
