I'm not in favor of any Nazi stuff and I'm not trying to pump it up. Look at these helmets – in color. New construction? Steel hex nuts? Machined posts? The war had been over for nineteen years. Prewar helmets?

I would say simply authentic survivors of the Great War, mostly privately owned...
I presume a 1930s Time Machine would cost less than the V1910s version? :guns:
 
Wow....thanks Joe for posting the link! I had no idea that such parades had ever taken place. However, having seen the film, it makes sense that the old army traditions/ veterans would have been put on display for Nazi sponsored events.
 
Very nice documentary indeed. What a variety of troops marching together as veterans. The 'brown shirts' looked like tramps compared to the Imperial veterans and better tailored Wehrmacht and police. I would imagine that there may indeed have been some post WWI private purchase items in the groups. I wonder what the percentage might be.
