Thoughts on sword id

Hello all,
I picked up this Lion head officer's sword on ebay a couple of months ago. It is identical to a sword that Weitze has listed (though mine has no scabbard and is in much worse shape and cost a small fraction of the price). Their photos are much better than mine.

The sword has the leaping horse of Hannover on one of the langets and the spine has "Carl Lippold, Braunschweig". Weitze speculates that since this is a cavalry officer's sword and is from Braunschweig that it is likely from a 17th Hussar officer. It certainly sounds plausible to me, but I wanted to see if anyone knows of any other Braunschweiger units that may have carried a sword like this. Cheers!
