The mortarboard appears to be homemade. The foliage base appears to be from an American helmet. At first glance the body seems to be what's left of a Vulcanfiber Pickelhaube, yet it has no stitching holes from a neckguard. Could this be the remains of an undocument Tschapka style which has had a homemade top and other parts stuck on it?

Looks like a pieced together something or other, from what I can tell from those poor photos. Very creative though. :-P
