Tschapka

It was the cheapest purchase I have ever made in my life. I paid 474 Swiss francs for it. The risk was high because the seller took bad photos and added the wrong wappen. There was only one bidder apart from me. In the auction photo, the fangschnur seemed to be a complete hoax, but now that I see it, I have serious doubts. The sleeves are made of wood and painted with gold paint. The thread is sewn with a bagel. Have you ever seen anything like this?

Nice tschapka!!!

I have seen that fangschnur before... on my mothers curtains!!!
My first impression was the same, but I slept through the night and after drinking coffee in the morning I had an epiphany. It is most likely a fangschnur from a children's ulanka. Unfortunately, I do not have any comparison material.

I saw this on Ebay, it sold for somewhere around 500 Euros or so. I was tempted to bid on it because it is in nice shape and has great restoration potential!

The risk was high with such poor photos. I wasn't sure whether the tschapka was made of pickelhaube, and I've seen such modifications before.Additionally, there was no return and the seller did not write that it was original.

I need something like this to display my tschapka field cover over. I look for a while then give up for a while, year over year.

Unfortunately, to buy cheaply you have to browse websites with offers several times a day.I cleaned the wappen that didn't fit and sold it in Poland for 300 euros. So the total cost of the item was around 200 euros.
