Two Kinder Bavarian pickelhaubes

Pretty basic in design, pressed carboard with wooden spikes. Both have painted rear spines. Slightly better detail on the silver wappen then the other one.

Interesting, even back then they made mistakes and put Bavarian Kokarden on both side of one of them.

Amazing these fragile pieces survived this long!

Wow!

Those are so great!

It's a small miracle that they survived. They must have been reserved for special occasions.
If I'd been playing with them when I was a kid they wouldn't have lasted long.

Thanks for sharing.

Very cool James! Amazing that things were played with and still survived 100+ years.

Ok... so... if EM infantry Pickelhauben were like size 56 back then then what did the children wear?
