Unknown Tunic

I have acquired a German made tunic, but I have no idea what it is, it has only one pocket, an interior one on the left breast, the back can be gathered wiith a draw string. The piping is a colour of red, I think, but I am unsure of the shade, the only button on the tunic is a plain brass one, but it does not look to be original, as it is sewn with black thread, and the original thread looks to be tan. It had shoulder boards sewn in at one time. There are no markings at all, so it is not something that would have gone through a Bekleidugsampt. I bought it with the thought it may be Turkish, but I do not think so now. I came out of a large collection of Imperial Colonial uniforms.
Best wishes

Gus,

Possibly Feuerwehr, I found a similar tunic recently - heavy tan cotton/canvas, red piping, cuffs like a M15 bluse, fall-collar with rounded tips and piped like a M07/10 tunic. Check the sleeves for marks from a feuerweher sleeve badge - crossed fire axes beneath a helmet.

Hey Mike,
I checked very close, no sigh of Feuerwehr insignia, which does not rule that out, I have had feedback on another forum indicating it is likely Turkish, and the red piping woud be Gendarmarie. Did the one you found have the draw string gathering in the back?
