This would be like buying a Poutine from outside of Quebec... Simply wouldn't feel right :D

I must admit it's a nice helmet though and if I'm not mistaken, these were made in German factories with leather from the purchasing South American countries.

Interestingly, the Pickelhaube is still part of the parade/ceremonial uniform of the Swedish Life Guards; Portugal's National Republican Guard; the Military Academies of Chile, Colombia, Venezuela, and Ecuador, and the Military College of Bolivia; the Chilean Army Central Band and Army School Band; and Colombia's Presidential Guard Battalion and the National Police of Colombia. Traffic police in Jordan also use a form of the Pickelhaube. The modern Romania Gendarmerie maintain a mounted detachment who wear a white plumed Pickelhaube of a model dating from the late 19th century, as part of their ceremonial uniform (source: Wikipedia).

Here's another one on eBay - Chilean from the 70's this time:

This one has many fittings similar to the the Imperial German haubes that would easily fool me (pearl ring spike base, officer stars, convex chinscales, even officer cockades!

Not a bad price for a nice Chilean helmet. Personally, I don't like the way the plate doesn't conform to the contour at the top of the dome... but that's just ME!
