Visiting Gus and Maggie

don't trust your GPS. You remember how Moses wandered around the desert for 40 years. Well he stopped at Gustavus place!

Say "HI" to them for us while you are there, we are out of town for the next couple of weeks.
 
I got a call from James panicked because his GPS was sending him down a deserted road
 
Just got home from a 9 day vacation across almost 1/2 the country, spent 2 days at Gus and Maggie's and could not have had more fun and such great hosts, it is hard for me to say nice things about Gus, but it truly was a blast. He was kind enough to let us all rattle a few rounds off on his Browning 1919 and taught us all how to drive his 2 Vintage WWII Ford Jeeps, both from 1942, it was so much fun driving them around. I had to draw the line when Gus wanted to take me up in his plane parked in his front yard...

Again, one of the best vacations my family has ever had, and many, many thanks to Maggie and Gus!!!

Gus and Maggie don't live in Texas...but I bet they have a chainsaw or two in the barn... :cry:

Yup. we have several chain saws, they are great for dismembering....ummmm, I mean cutting firewood, yeah firewood that is what I use the chainsaws for.

We had a great time, but after looking in my collections room, I can only find two Pickelhauben, hmmm, there were unsupervised visits to the collections room. James shot a hole in the neighbour's barn, goes to prove that he can hit the broad side of a barn. The target that the kids were shooting was riddled with holes, James target did have one hole in it, but it might have been a wild shot from the kids shooting.
 
Maggie pointed out that we also have a chipper, and the two bullet holes in our mail box were not my doing.
 
In this PC world you have to be careful when the kids are asked, "what did you do for your summer vacation" and they say "we visited an old guy in Idaho and shot a machinegun!" Some people back east will think that James took the family to an Aryan Nation compound! :o

We ran the arian nation out of Idaho and gave their compound to a grandmother and her grandson who they insulted and threatened....result!
 
James did not6 mention the problems he had while he was here, I am not allowed to elaborate on the proceedings but I can post the photo as it has been released for public publication.

Worse, but I can not say anything until after the trial,
 
I think I saw his picture in the post office! It really is too bad he has such a nice family and they had no idea. :ANGRY:
