Was Anyone Here Lucky Enough to Buy this on eBay 4-23-15?

Here's one that I stumbled onto that made me sick and weak feeling when I was looking at the recent "sold listings" results on eBay this Friday morning. :( :eek: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Leibgarde-Infantry-RGT-115-Pickelhaube-Helmet-/131494729777?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item1e9db25831&nma=true&si=BwfJZWwFbxhUO%252FdU0GKa8tD5Nx8%253D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2557" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Hopefully someone on here stumbled onto it and snapped it up for a mere $1,000.00. It must have sold as soon as it came up visible on eBay on Thursday, as I never saw the listing until after it was already sold. Do any of you guys know who this seller is in Wisconsin? He's had other helmets and military items for sale in the past on eBay.

I'll post the photos seller had on the auction, to preserve them on here after the eBay listing is no longer visible.

Unfortunately the seller doesn't show the entire liner (what he shows is very nice), and he doesn't show if there are any markings on the back visor, or if there is any damage to the spike or not. I'm guessing from the quality of everything he showed in the photos, it is a really great helmet.

Wow, what a bummer to miss this one... Helmet body looked really great, and the silver fittings had not been cleaned...

Best Regards,

Alan

unfortunately not me, I looked at your sold listings on the e-bay section and see it had 13 hits before being sold, whoever those others are must be kicking themselves.

Absolutely, if you're "thinking of buying it"... BUY IT! When I saw my 6 KR helmet on line, I put it in my 'cart' right away, then worried about transferring funds to Germany.

Lucky guy, the guy who could purchase it for this small price.....
Unfortunately bad conditions for european bidders, because of this silly import charges to pay to Pitney Bowes... Those import charges that are to be paid with paypal just after the auction are definitly not accepted by european customs, so european bidders have to pay twice.... :thumbsdown: :thumbsdown: :thumbsdown:
