Yup, there is a lot of weird stuff on e-bay with respect to pickelhaubes.

I wonder if people are bidding on it for the eagle or the nice Marilyn Monroe Boa parade plume? Looks like somebody wanted it to be a size or seven larger and cut the back open, then re-joined it with a piece of leather.

I think that's pretty common for that special battalion.
