I agree with Kellerrat, beware of this seller!! Because the majority of what he has up for auction is not kosher as discussed elaborately in other threads.

Everybody says restored.
But my question is :

Can it been restored in ww1.
I think it that there are a lot of helmets orginal but restored at that time.
Because something broke for example .
Is that possible.
Not all the helmets can be perfect , maybe the most collectors expect that.
Makes collecting simply more difficult , because not al the helmets can't be in good shape.
Do i have a point here??

My-humble-opinion:
-WWI: Bekleidungsämter inspected the Hauben; then did "reparations"; classified the helmets; and then re-issued the Hauben to the units (Regiments) in the field or to garison troops in the homeland.

BA Classification Markings/Stamps:
*-F: Feldbrauchbar; usable for service in the field.
*-ga: besser Garnisons brauchbar: good condition and suitable for Garrison service (after repair)
*-gb: schlechter Garnisons brauchbar: bad state, yet usable in Garrison service
(J-L Larcade Vol II).

Francis
