Ok guy's need your help with this one, my first thought was Polcie but I am not sure.

I got it for a steal, and it is pretty cool, just not sure what it is for, anybody got an idea on the frontplate, and what possible town, city etc. it may belong to??

That would be the coat of arms of either Dresden, or Leipzig (if the pales are blue which could be indicated by the riffled structure).

it is a nice helmet and in great shape, it now goes on the shelf with the other Fire and police helmets.
