Who says the US can't have honor guards with history?

Prince Charles on his recent to Philadelphia reviewing an honor guard of the First Troop Philadelphia City Cavalry.

Originally a city militia unit raised in 1774, members are now part of the Pennsylvania Army National Guard. They have a website at http://www.ftpcc.com/FTPCC/History.htm
 
I have a photo of the unit from the 1840s on my comp. But i dont know how to post..ill post it if you give me a hint.

Sadly the closest some cities get these days is the street gangs that show their colors! :D
 
Tony in the Toronto are there alot of reserve units that have Patrols or Scarlets the Toronto Scottish and the 48th Highlanders both put a nice looking unit on parade . the the Grenadier Gaurds and the Govenor General's Foot Gaurds ldo the Changing of the Gaurd in Ottawa.
Nice to see a US Unit with that type of Lineage though.
